AMANDA IS A RECENT GRADUATE FROM TSINGHUA UNIVERSITY AND KING’S COLLEGE, LONDON. SHE HOLDS AN ENGLISH LAW LLB AND AN LLM IN CHINESE LAW AND HAS KEEN INTEREST IN INTERNATIONAL LEGAL CHALLENGES. HER LLM THESIS FOCUSED ON THE INFLUENCE OF CONFUCIANISM ON CHINESE SOCIETY, BUSINESS AND LAW, LOOKING PARTICULARLY AT HOW THIS COMPARED TO OTHER SOCIETIES NORMS AND PRACTICES IN THE WORKPLACE.
SHE HAS INTERNED AT FIELDFISHER CHINA AND ALSO VOLUNTEERED AS A RESEARCHER FOR LAWYERS WITHOUT BORDERS. WHILST AT KCL, AMANDA WAS THE DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS RELATIONS FOR THE LONDON LEGAL FORUM, BRINGING STUDENTS ACROSS LONDON UNIVERSITIES WITH AN INTEREST IN LAW TOGETHER. HAVING STUDIED AND WORKED IN CHINA, AMANDA HAS DEVELOPED HER MANDARIN AND HAS GAINED A VALUABLE INSIGHT TO LEGAL PRACTICES INTERNATIONALLY.
