Domestic Abuse and the Cost of Living Crisis: How can employers support survivors at work?
On November 25, Thrive hosted a panel discussion to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the beginning of the UN 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Mandu Reid (Leader, Women’s Equality Party UK), Jenn Glinski (Domestic and economic abuse consultant and PhD candidate), and Pamela Zaballa (CEO, NO MORE) joined Thrive’s Founder, Jemima Lovatt, discuss the implications of the cost of living crisis on the prevalence and severity of abuse. The panel explored the impact of domestic abuse at work and in the community, the characteristics of domestic abuse during a cost of living crisis, and what employers can do to support survivors at work.
