Lebogang founded the Mothotlung Network, working in partnership with the Department of Social Development, to provide victim empowerment services to abused women and children across 15 rural villages of the Madibeng municipality in the North West province of South Africa. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, they have increased capacity to provide pyscho-social support and trauma counselling in reaction to increasing rates of domestic violence and child abuse.
The Bake for Hope project is a community bakery where bread is manufactured by the hands and bodies that were once broken. This project trains women on baking and how they can use it to sustain themselves as well as being therapeutic in dealing with anger and anxiety. It also generates extra revenue for the organization, enabling them to continue providing their services.
