Dickel is 29 years old, a mother of two daughters and a One Young World Ambassador. She is a survivor of FGM and sexual assault. She is a Gender Equality Activist particularly interested in women and girls’ issues. She founded AFPHY (Association des Femmes Potières du Hebbiya et du Yirla), an NGO that stands against Gender-based Violence and Discrimination by promoting Quality Education, Equal Rights, and Empowerment of Women and Girls across rural areas of Mauritania.
